Membranes & Ancillaries
Pam Ties’ high-quality cavity drainage membranes create an air gap between the membrane and the substrate, allowing any penetrating water to drain safely behind the system. The membranes are mechanically fixed to sound wall surfaces and can then be overlaid with treated battens or alternative framing systems to support plasterboard finishes.
In some applications, battens can be omitted, with plasterboard and membrane fixed directly using specialist plastic plugs. Alternatively, a traditional wet plaster finish may be applied where appropriate.
The Pam Ties range includes everything from shallow-profile Slimline membranes to deep-cavity 20 mm flooring membranes, providing tailored waterproofing solutions for a wide variety of projects. The most suitable membrane is selected based on two key factors:
- The required internal finish.
- The anticipated water ingress or flow rate.
Since the introduction of BS 8102:2009, the British Standard for the protection of below-ground structures against water ingress, cavity drainage membrane systems have become one of the most widely adopted waterproofing methods in the UK. Pam Ties systems are designed to perform in challenging groundwater conditions, making them suitable for basements at risk of flooding as well as environments affected by dampness, salt contamination, or moisture ingress.
